This website is owned and operated by Manchester Theatre Academy Community Interest Company, registered in England and Wales under the company number 11620793. We can be contacted by post at 19 Surrey Street, Glossop, Derbyshire, SK13 7AH, or using any of the methods provided on this page.

We are a community interest company which is type of limited company that operates to provide a benefit to the community they serve. Booking on our website

You can book onto courses and other events on this website. To do this you follow these steps:

  1. Browse the website to find the group or event you want to book on
  2. Select the date(s) and quantity you require, and click ‘add to basket’
  3. On the basket page, check the products and quantities are correct and click ‘proceed to checkout’
  4. On the checkout page, fill in the fields of required information, select and complete your payment details, tick the box to confirm you agree with these terms and conditions, and click ‘Place Order’.

How a contract is formed between us and you

Once you place tour order on our website as described above you’ll receive a confirmation email from us. The contract between us will be formed once we send you this email.

Consumer rights

Cooling off period

You have a cooling off period of 7 days after you book an event or group with us, during this time you may cancel your booking and get a full refund. The cooling off period starts from the time we send you the confirmation email.

Prices and payment

Current price are displayed on our website, except in cases or obvious error. All prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change our prices for future bookings at any time, without prior notice.

Payments can be made using credit and debit cards through this website via our payments provider Stripe. We also accept payments in the form of direct transfers into our bank account.

Cancellation

Cancellation by us

In the event that MTA should cancel any group or event in full, you shall receive a full refund.

Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel a booking for an event or group, please let us know by getting in touch via the form on our contact page as soon as possible. Refunds in the event of cancellation by you, after the cooling off period, are given solely at our discretion and will be subject to the circumstances and our being able to fill the vacated space(s).

Refunds

Refunds will be processed within 10 working days. We’ll generally return any monies to the card on which it was originally paid. If you’ve paid us by some other method, please let us know how you’d like to receive your refund.

Communication

MTA’s primary method of communication in regard to bookings and other important information regarding the contract between us will be via email. To ensure you are receiving our emails, please make sure you whitelist the domain manchestertheatreacademy.co.uk with your email provider.

Our liability

MTA undertake to carry out the activities described on this website in a diligent manner. We aim to provide a fun and safe environment for children and youngsters to express themselves through performing arts.

Our liability for any loss you suffer as a result of our breaking this contract, including deliberate breaches, is limited to the total amount you have paid us for your booking. The only exception to this being items for which it would be illegal for us to exclude, or attempt to exclude, our liability.

Events beyond our control

MTA will not be liable or responsible for our failure to carry out any obligation under the contract between us, if the reason we cannot carry out our obligations is due to a force beyond our reasonable control.

Changes to these terms and conditions

MTA reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time. Your order will be subject to the terms and conditions in force on the date you made your order.

Applicable law

All contracts entered into by MTA under these terms and conditions will be governed by English law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with such Contracts or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
