Jayne Skudder
Director and Drama Teacher
Jayne has been a self employed tutor for fifteen years and has been running MTA for six years. With a BA in Drama and English Jayne has a true passion for drama and is keen to share these skills and experiences with the younger generation. It all began at Droylsden Little Theatre for Jayne, when she attended the youth group there. She is now Marketing Manager for Droylsden Little Theatre and Social Secretary for Partington Players theatre, which helps with the running of a theatre group. Jayne is also heavily involved in performing, being involved in productions herself and can use this experience for teaching at Manchester Theatre Academy. In order to keep up to date with changes in drama, Jayne undergoes teacher training courses where possible. The most recent of these, was a teacher training course with ‘The Frantic Assembly’.
Mike Tierney
Director
Mike has his own internet marketing company and develops websites. His degree is in International Business, so he has experience of Marketing and business, skills that make a positive contribution to Manchester Theatre Academy. It doesn’t end there- with two children at the drama group, you can usually find him on the ticket desk and getting involved Front of House on show day.
Jospehine Galvin
Director
Has been working at Audenshaw High School, as a teaching assistant and is currently studying for her MA in Novel Writing. Josephine has a true belief in what we are aiming to achieve and both her children attend the group. In the future, she may wish to get more involved in teaching but for now is involved in the decision making process and has always shown her support Front of House and backstage.
